Socks
I started these after frogging the first clue of the Mystery socks. Why, I don't know, but this pair had to become a pair of prayer socks. (Secret Prayer Sock Swap) The design is made by me and beside praying for my partner I also found comfort when I picked my knitting back up after the sudden passing of my pappa. A special pair they are...
I used CPY Panda Superwash Evening Blues (2 balls) and 350 meters in yardage went into this pair.

Here's No. 4
I'm glad that we're counting socks completed during the plunge, even if they were started before June 1.
That's because this pair was begun in February 2008. They are a gift for someone who lives hundreds of miles away, and I wasn't sure of the foot length. By the time I found out the length, I was busy with other projects and kept putting these off.
Joining the 52PPIII has given me the incentive to finally finish them, so here they are:
They were finished June 30. The pattern is Veil of Leaves by Cat Bordhi. They're knit with Trekking XXL yarn in color 90.

It never took me that long
...to knit a pair of socks. This time Trekking XXL Tweed in black was used. It seems the colour black and I can't get along with each other, as I had to frog several times... plus the yarn in the center of the ball was entangled. I had to puzzle the knots out and that made me grumpy for sure. 350 meters were used for a 10" foot size.

Completed Socks #3 Ayers Rock
Pair #6 and #7
I'm bad at updating blogs. Forgive me!
Pair #6:
Pattern: Basket Check from the Little Box of Socks.
Yarn: Violet Green Socrates March Sock Club, colourway "Beanstalk"
Needles: 2.5mm.
I loved this pattern, but if I made it again I'd do a plain foot. The slipped stitches made the foot turn up like pixie shoes!
Pair #7:Pattern: Improvised from the Violet Green Sock Pattern Generator, its a baby sock.
Yarn: Regia Galaxy
Needles: 2.5mm
These were great, only took about a day to make them!
