My first pair is a simple pair of k2, p2 socks for Hubby.

wildflower target.

My second pair is done. I casted on for this late in May, and they've been laying around with just the toes and the targets left. So yesterday I pulled myself together and finished them. And I'm so happy with how they turned out :)
I've named them Wildflower target after the name of the yarn I've used for the targets.

Happy Knitting :)

I must be crazy...

I must be crazy. I signed up to do 52 pairs of socks in one year, yet I haven't even knit 52 pairs of socks in my life. I don't know what makes me think I can do it in a year, but I'm going to try. Here's my first pair:

fo butterflies b 060609

These were a kal sponsored by Wendy at Knitters Brewing Co.
They're knit with Trekking XXL in color 147 on 2.25mm KnitPicks circular needles.
The beads form a butterfly motif.

Edit: These were completed on June 6

Pair #3 & #4

So pair #3! We have here the Ric-Rac Rib pattern from the Little Box of Socks. The yarn is Cascade 220 Quatro. Knit on 3.75mm needles. Fun pattern, but the knitting into the back of the second stitch on the needle and then knit the first stitch as normal really hurt my hands.

Pair #4! We have Baby's First Sock by Ann Budd. Yarn is Sirdar Snuggly 4ply, and knit on 2.5mm needles. Fun, but starting the round with purl stitches hurts my brain. I didn't use the pattern on the sole of the foot because I wanted to stop the purling!

Pair 2 done

I promised this pair to my daughter... they came ready yesterday evening. Unfortunately the weather here at the moment is sad... the socks are showing darker than they actually are.

I used Zauberball Stone Washed, 350 meter yarn went into this pair.

Completed Socks #1

It's my first pair of socks for the Plunge and I finished the WiP on June 3rd. They are a birthday gift for a friend in european size 41 with Corded Rib Pattern from Charlene Schurchs' Sensational Knitted Socks.
Yarn is from the Opal Sockclub Autumn 2008.

I am a slow knitter and if I don't take care I often get too far behind. So the next socks will be children socks. I am confident of finishing them by the end of the week.

Completed Socks #1

These were WIP's had one almost done but had to make in 2 different sizes. Friend had polio when younger and wanted to make her a pair of socks that would fit both feet.
I think I have been able to do it with my own pattern. Doing a k4 p2 as it will stretch out to fit the larger foot a bit more but will look almost identical.
I think my friend Wanda will love them as blue is one of her favorite colors. She is away so won't get them for a week or so. Can hardly wait to see her face when she gets these.

The next pair were finished yesterday (June 3rd) and it was Shadow Rib from the Little Box of Socks using Laughing Yaffle yarn in Malachite:
