Here's No. 4
I'm glad that we're counting socks completed during the plunge, even if they were started before June 1.
That's because this pair was begun in February 2008. They are a gift for someone who lives hundreds of miles away, and I wasn't sure of the foot length. By the time I found out the length, I was busy with other projects and kept putting these off.
Joining the 52PPIII has given me the incentive to finally finish them, so here they are:

They were finished June 30. The pattern is Veil of Leaves by Cat Bordhi. They're knit with Trekking XXL yarn in color 90.

Pair 2 and 3
Pair number 2 is for my little cousin. He's a Batman fan, so I thought this colorway was perfect for him. Simple 2X2 rib socks:

Pair number 3 is knit with Trekking Pro Natura yarn, a wool/bamboo blend. I really enjoyed knitting with this yarn. The pattern is Little Arrowhead Lace Socks by Nancy Bush.

I must be crazy...
I must be crazy. I signed up to do 52 pairs of socks in one year, yet I haven't even knit 52 pairs of socks in my life. I don't know what makes me think I can do it in a year, but I'm going to try. Here's my first pair:

These were a kal sponsored by Wendy at Knitters Brewing Co.
They're knit with Trekking XXL in color 147 on 2.25mm KnitPicks circular needles.
The beads form a butterfly motif.
Edit: These were completed on June 6
